For 19 or more credit hours: Add $127 tuition, $17 materials/technology fees, and $9.00 student fee/distance learning fee for each additional credit hour.

Non-Iowa resident and international student tuition is $185 per credit hour; all fees for non-Iowa residents and international students are the same as for Iowa residents.

For all students: AUDIT tuition is the same as CREDIT tuition. Rate chart revised 4/09.

Below is the breakdown of costs for a full-time student (resident or non-resident) living on campus, with estimated book costs and miscellaneous living expenses.

Iowa Resident, per credit hour: $153.
Out-of-State & International Students, per credit hour: $185.

Iowa Resident (average full-time freshman hours is 15) : $2,295.
Out-of-State or International: $2,775.00.

Housing* (per semester)
Thompson Hall (men's dorm): $1,515 per semester; add $465 for a single room.

Wall Hall (co-ed dorm): $1,515 per semester; add $465 for a single room.
College Apartments (shared bedroom): $1,980 per semester; single bedrooms not available.

*Special arrangements must be made 30 days in advance.
*Handicapped-accessible rooms are available.

Food Service (per semester)
A meal plan is required for all students living on campus.
Meal Plan A: 19 meals per week for $916 per semester.
Meal Plan B: 15 meals per week for $873 per semester.
Meal Plan C: 10 meals per week for $846 per semester.

Other Expenses
Books & Supplies (varies based on classes): Averages $400-$800 per semester.

Miscellaneous (clothing, mileage, postage, phone calls, recreation, etc.): $400-$750.

On-campus parking: Free!

Tuition and fee policies are based on a sharing of cost by students, taxpayers of Iowa Valley Community College District, and the State of Iowa. State reimbursement is received for students who are residents of Iowa; none is received for non-residents. On average, state appropriations provide approximately 47 percent of the cost of education at IVCCD. The IVCCD Board of Directors reserves the right to change tuition and fee schedules, as well as refund policies, in accordance with federal and state laws.
