Maybe the field of education interests you. Or maybe you’ve thought about going into business. The Business Education program allows you to put your feet into both worlds! You can combine new developments in each field to better educate students for the workforce and for their lives as general consumers. An understanding of business concepts is no longer just a handy job skill. Because of technology advancements and the fact that people are now working at their first jobs at a much younger age, understanding business concepts is a necessity. As a business education teacher, you’ll be teaching skills people use for a lifetime and use in almost any career field.
Job outlook
The need for business educators is at an all time high in Iowa. The average age of a business teacher in Iowa is in the early 50’s. Most are due to retire in the next several years.

Teachers in middle schools, high schools and colleges and universities.
