Management Information Systems (MIS)
Career
If you not only love working on computers, but like the technical aspect also, then MIS is a field to consider. While technical skills are a must, equally important are strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Job applicants also need training and experience in business administration. Keeping a computer network running smoothly is essential to almost every organization.
Job outlook
The rapid growth of computer-related occupations will cause the MIS field to expand rapidly. Job prospects are greatest for those with advanced degrees. As businesses continue to be competitive in a global marketplace, they will continue to install sophisticated computer networks and set up complex Internet and intranet sites.
What/Where the jobs are
Computer and data processing services, banks, colleges and universities, businesses and industries.
