ECC baseball players heading to Illinois
Three Ellsworth Community College baseball players have committed to national letters of intent to play baseball in Illinois next fall.
Dane Mehring, left, is a left-handed pitcher from
Cedar Rapids; he will play for Chicago State.
Jordan Stroschein, center, an outfielder from Marion, will also play for Chicago State.
J.J. Reimer, right, is a catcher from Dubuque; he will play for Western Illinois. They are pictured with ECC Head Baseball Coach Nate Forsyth, standing.
“These three players have had outstanding careers at Ellsworth,” says Forsyth. “I know they’re looking forward to our spring season, but now they’re also looking beyond that to their careers at these great four-year schools. I’m sure they’ll each contribute in a big way over the next three years.”
