ECC football players earn All-Conference honors
Five Ellsworth Community College football players were named this week by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) to Midwest All-Conference teams, and six players received honorable mentions for their efforts on the field this season.
First Team All-Conference honors went to sophomore defensive lineman Ken Bishop, Lauderhill, FL; sophomore wide receiver Dexter Holmes of Pahokee, FL; and sophomore defensive back Chris Charles of Pompano Beach, FL.
Second Team All-Conference honors went to sophomore offensive lineman Demetrius Rhaney, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and freshman defensive back Duane Clower, Upper Hills, FL.
Honorable mentions were earned by sophomore quarterback Willie Tindal of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sophomore running back T.J. James, Des Moines, IA; freshman offensive lineman Jordan Harrington, Waterloo, IA; sophomore tight end Amari Williams of Daytona Beach, FL; sophomore wide receiver Darnell Smith, Garland, TX; and freshman defensive lineman Ja’Bahri Bishop, Perry, FL.
