The Ellsworth College Foundation, a 501(c)3 corporation established in 1958, benefits Ellsworth Community College and its students by raising funds for scholarships, equipment purchase and campus improvement. The Foundation maintains an endowed scholarship program with 90 named scholarships awarded annually. For the 2010-2011 academic year, the Foundation is providing over $180,000 in assistance to ECC and its students. Additional financial support is provided by the Ellsworth College Board of Trustees and governmental financial aid programs.
The Foundation is governed by a 21-member board, which administers funds and oversees the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs. Kaitlyn Bartling serves as Director of Development & Alumni Affairs and supervises the office’s support staff, Gene Newgaard, '85, and Jan Sauerbrei. The office plans special events for alumni and friends, conducts fund-raising activities, and publishes a newsletter that is sent to over 10,000 of the college’s alumni and friends.
Persons wishing to make a tax-deductible donation to the Foundation may do so by contacting the ECC Office of Development & Alumni Affairs, 1100 College Ave., Iowa Falls, IA 50126, or (641) 648-8575 or (800) 322-9235.
