Iowa Valley Community College Grinnell
Iowa Valley Community College Grinnell was
established as a center for Iowa Valley Community College District
in 1993. The center served the Poweshiek County area from rental
property in downtown Grinnell until January 2002, when it moved
into a remodeled facility.
Iowa Valley Community
College Grinnell serves as an outreach center for Marshalltown
Community College and Iowa Valley Continuing Education. Iowa Valley
Grinnell's degree programs include a Liberal Arts
& Sciences transfer degree, a Business
Administration degree, and an Industrial
Maintenance Technology degree; graduates of these programs will
receive an MCC diploma. Additional degree programs are offered on

Student activities include a variety of on-campus
programs and events sponsored by the Student Activities Council and
Senate (SACS).
The center
participates in federal and state financial aid programs. The Iowa
Valley Grinnell campus includes a Learning Center, and Iowa
Communications Network classroom, a Technology Center, the
Brownells Computer Lab, and the Wellborn Student Lounge.
Also housed in
the Iowa Valley Grinnell facility are New Horizons High School,
Poweshiek County Career Development Center, and Iowa Workforce
Development Center offices.
