Liberal Arts & Science transfer degree Nearly 80% of our students earn a Liberal Arts/Transfer Associate in Arts (AA) degree because they’re assured that the credits will transfer easily to nearly all Iowa colleges and universities, as well as many other institutions in the Midwest.
Automotive Repair Technology Automotive service technicians and mechanics represent a 6% increase in employment projected through 2018, with several nearby states having higher growth rates. Dealerships in the area are in need of a workforce that they can count on and invest in further certification training.

Culinary Apprenticeship (NEW!) This 3-year, part-time program includes a training program plus a 6,000-hour apprenticeship (registered with the US Department of Labor). Classes take place on Mondays at the Grinnell College catering kitchen, which allows students to work the rest of the week in the field gaining valuable experience while getting paid for their work.
Gunsmith Technology Gunsmith Technology is a program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to make, repair, maintain, and modify firearms according to blueprints or customer specifications, using specialized hand tools and machines. Hunters, sportsmen, collectors, and firearms enthusiasts around the nation all need the services of experienced Gunsmiths to repair and customize their favorite firearms.
Paralegal Paralegals, also called legal assistants, provide invaluable help to lawyers in their work. They perform some of the same tasks and also do legal research and write reports that lawyers use to help prepare their cases.The profession is the fifth fastest growing job in Iowa requiring post-secondary education. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Iowa is expecting a 23% increase in employment openings trough 2016.
