The channel’s facilities are housed at Iowa Valley Continuing Education on the campus of Marshalltown Community College. Students in MCC’s Mass Media Studies/Broadcasting program assist with local scheduling and production as part of their curriculum training. Some students are camera operators trained and designated for METv filming projects.
Programming includes informational interviews pertaining to local topics, favorite classic movies, locally-produced videos, coverage of local events (city council meetings, school board meetings, garden club meetings, MFL games and much more) and educational programming originating from Iowa Valley Continuing Education and Marshalltown Community College.

Iowa Communications Network
All Iowa community colleges, state universities, and numerous other organizations are connected to a statewide fiber optic telecommunication system known as the Iowa Communications Network (ICN). With high-tech classrooms and equipment, the system provides two-way audio and video communication between multiple sites. ICN brings "distance education" to local residents, and IVCE is proud to have been a leader in providing the technological support and funding sources to put the system in this District.
For more information about ICN, contact Julie Thomas, Director CE Enrollment Services & Telecommunications, at 641-844-5621 or 1-800-284-4823, or Julie.Thomas@iavalley.edu.
