Job Success certification is designed to enhance communication skills vital to success at work. This certification addresses the specific needs of today’s line and staff support employees – new hires as well as established employees that are fundamental, interpersonal skills widely recognized as necessary in most entry – level jobs and beyond. This certification addresses issues such as appropriate dress, regular attendance, presentation skills, work ethic, balancing home and work, team work, adapting to change, communication skills, and problem solving.
8-Hour Training includes the following topics: What it Takes to Succeed: the Basic Principles; Speaking with Confidence; Managing Life Outside Work; Handling Emergencies & Resisting Temptations; and Defusing Emotionally Charged Situations.
12-Hour Training includes the 8-Hour training plus the following topics: Helping Your Team Work, Positive Responses to Change, and Getting the Information You Need.

About the Trainer: Jean Brownlie
Jean Brownlie is a Business Solutions Consultant for IVCE. She is a certified AchieveGlobal trainer who teaches job success skills in career programs as well as training with front-line supervisors and managers on leadership, managing others, and customer service skills. She is a certified Real Colors personality assessment trainer. Jean holds a B.A. in Vocational Home Economics, an M.A. in Sociology, an Iowa teaching license as well as a social work license. She has been an administrator for Iowa Valley Community College District and operated her own businesses.
