Watercolor Painting
Students will experiment with watercolor and different types of watercolor techniques to create their own technique template and then produce an original work of art. Techniques taught will use media such as alcohol, tissue paper, charcoal, flat washes, and many more. Local artist, Chris Slauson, will be the instructor and share with you her techniques and styles. Supplies: Students need to bring an art board, (it can be homemade), 11x14” watercolor paper pad, watercolor pencils, watercolor dry pan set (can buy watercolor dry pan set at Wal-Mart), and a number #2 pencil.

Welding for Garden Art
Learn basic welding techniques for stick and wire welding along with oxyacetylene cutting and bending, and brazing as you create a delightful garden creatures. Must wear leather shoes, long sleeves and long pants. No prior welding experience necessary. Get ideas for projects and where to purchase materials. Test out 4 different brands of welders-Clarke, Hobart, Lincoln, and Miller. May bring your own steel objects to weld into your project with instructor’s approval.
