BLS for Healthcare Providers online Part 1 & Skills Test Out          

This course from the American Heart Association has been updated to reflect new science based on the 2010 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. Students will learn single-rescuer and team basic life support for adults, children and infants through 5 interactive exercises, scenarios and a written test. Navigation controls allow students to move easily through content as they learn how to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilation and provide early use of an AED. Course also teaches relief of choking. This self-paced course is accessible anytime from any computer. Students can access the BLS for Healthcare Providers Student Manual, BLS Pocket Reference Card and more for 24 months. This course may be used for initial or renewal BLS for Healthcare Providers Course completion. You will need to go to this web site and set up your account http://www.onlineaha.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=main.home. Then go to the course catalog and click on the BLS Healthcare Provider online part 1 purchase now tab and proceed. Cost is $22 paid online. You will complete the online course and print your certificate. You then enroll in the skills session through IVCE. You need to bring your online class certificate with you to the skills session. During the skills session you will practice all of the CPR and AED skills and test out on these skills. Your phone contact information is required so IVCE can contact you to schedule your specific skills check out time between 9 am-5 pm. Cost of the skills session is $39 and registration deadline for the skills session is one week prior to the class.
