Beginning Jewelry Making 101
In this beginning jewelry making class, you will take away a self-designed set of earrings, necklaces, rings, or bracelets. To create your one-of-a-kind piece you will have hands-on experience with tools, wire, elastic, jump rings, spacer beads, crimp beads, and selecting whatever catches your eye to incorporate. If you have any jewelry you would like to take apart and remake, bring it along. Due to the amount of detail, this class will be limited to 5 participants. Enroll early!

Easy Wire & Bead Rings
Students will learn to size rings, use different styles of beads and wraps for making rings. By the end of the 2 hours you will have the opportunity to have made several rings. You will use artistic wire of several colors, gauges, and learn more wire wrapping techniques. All the wire and tools will be available for use for the class and all you have to bring is yourself for fun!

Magical Metal Art
Choose from a multitude of creative designs in flat or 3d and then learn how to make them your own. Experiment with paint techniques, finishes, embellishments, and textures. Make a statement and show your flair with your uniquely decorated metal art for your home or garden. Bring $12.00 payable to the instructor at the time of the class. Register by May1st.

Painted Terra Cotta Pot
During this class you will take a primed terra cotta pot and paint it in a whimsical fashion. Using checkerboards, polka-dots and other fanciful embellishments, Your colorful hand-painted flower pot shall then be sealed and ready for spring flowers on your porch or garden space! A $30 supply fee will need to be paid to the instructor at the start of the class.

Re-purpose Candles & Make Summer Sizzle
Do you have candles that have lost their scent or melted out of grace? Don’t pitch them; repurpose them, revive, them, and reuse them for your outdoor activities this summer. No matter what kind of wax, they can be repurposed to provide elegant light, as patriotic symbols, or even as mosquito repellers. Bring in your old candles. All other materials are provided to recycle, remold, and renew their grandeur. Get green and get creative! Register by June 26th. Bring $12.00 payable to Sandy at the time of the class to cover materials.

Soap on Sundays
Two Sundays, two kinds of soap, lots of fun! In the first class we will make goat’s milk soap from scratch. Learn soap-making and safety techniques and how to use real goat’s milk to make a very luxurious, gentle soap. In the second class, experiment with molds, colors, and shapes using melt and pour soap. Both projects will be ready to take home at the end of the second class. Bring $15 payable to the instructor at the time of the class for materials. Register by July 24th.

Stepping Stone Garden Mosaic
In this two-evening class you shall spend the first session (2 hours) assembling one of three designs provided: a dragonfly, sun and moon combination or single letter of alphabet. Using stained glass pieces, river rock and other objects, you then shall add the Crete, to end first night. Second evening (1 hour session) you shall seal finished stone and take it home to your own garden space! A $35 supply fee will need to be paid to the instructor at the start of the class.

Wine Glass Markers
In this class you will learn the basics of making wine glass markers using wires, stones and beads. You will leave with your own unique markers, 6 in all, and will want to host your own small party of wine-tasting at home! All supplies and tools provided by instructor. Supply fee of $20 will need to be paid to the instructor at the class.

Wire Wrapping a Cabochon
Using Beadalon silver colored wire, students will learn the basics to be able to wrap a cabochon (polished stone). The tools needed will be discussed as well as the different possible wires to use in wire wrapping. Once the basics are learned, you will be able to move ahead on your own to create one-of-a-kind pendants that will be keepsakes for years to come. Material fees are included.

Wood Turning Wine Stoppers
Learn the basics of wood turning from professional artist Jerry Turbett of Woodturnings by Jerry. Get expert instruction on the do’s and dont’s in transforming a piece of wood on a lathe into a one-of-a-kind wine stopper. Turn, sand, and finish your piece in two short hours. Learn how to hold the tool properly and the techniques of cutting and shaping. You will have a finished piece in two short hours as well as being able to catch a glimpse of other projects you can accomplish. This class is for creative souls no matter your gender. Register by May 29th. Bring $12.00 payable to Sandy at the time of the class to cover materials.

Woodcarving Membership
Woodcarving meets once a month, on the second Thursday of each month. Enroll for one year, and attend any of the Woodcarving courses described separately.

Take some time out to just relax and carve some interesting wood designs. This group tries carving many different projects throughout the year. There is Relief, In the Round, and Chip carving projects to try your hand at creating. Attending these group sessions gives an individual an opportunity to learn more about woodcarving and the tools needed to do carving. A Woodcarving Membership is required to attend the monthly sessions (see Membership above).
