Cosmetology Professionals: Cosmetology CEU's are offered through Iowa Valley Continuing Education courses at least once per year.
Continuing Education for Health/Human Services Professionals: IVCE offers an extensive list of continuing education courses for health-related professions. Nurses, general and limited practice radiographers, medical office assistants, dietitians, dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, respiratory therapists, nursing home administrators, department heads in long-term care, activity coordinators, and substance abuse counselors will all find opportunities for professional development throughout the year. Check back often-there are new courses added regularly with links to downloadable flyers that give complete descriptions of the course.
Health Careers:
IVCE offers training for entry positions in intermediate care facilities and home health agencies. Classes such as nurse aide and medication aide, as well as nurse aide state competency testing are offered at IVCE.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Careers: IVCE offers valuable continuing education courses for Emergency Services personnel.
Certified Protection Officer Career: IVCE is the only location in Iowa that offers the International Foundation for Protection Officer's Certified Protection Officer (CPO) program. This professional development is offered for security practitioners: directors, officers, guards, personal protection operators or loss prevention associate - any security-related career.
