What is service-learning?

The 10,000 Hours Show promotes student volunteers. SHARE Iowa rewards volunteers with grocery discounts.

Service-Learning Coordinator

As an AmeriCorps*VISTA volunteer, Michelle Boyd is working in conjunction with Marshalltown Community College as its Service-Learning Coordinator. Michelle is focused on developing the foundation of a sustainable service-learning program in order to fulfill the needs of the community and the college. Her major responsibilities are networking with community partners to establish contacts and opportunities for engagement, assisting faculty with the implementation of service-learning into their courses, and coordinating students involved with service-learning.
