Career
If you like the world of sports, but aren’t a Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods and like being involved in athletics, athletic training is a consideration. Athletic trainers evaluate, advise, and treat athletes to assist recovery from injury, avoid injury, or maintain peak physical fitness. Athletic trainers work with physicians and other health personnel and are an important part of the athletic health care team.
Job outlook
Employment is expected to grow much faster than average through 2016. Athletic training is a very competitive process to transfer to and get accepted into an accredited athletic training program.

Colleges and universities, sports medicine clinics, professional sports programs, health care settings, secondary schools.
