People who work in this field are outgoing, good at motivating others and like leisure activities that range from arts and crafts to aerobics and dance.
This field attracts many applicants and the number of career positions is limited. Most jobs in this field are seasonal, temporary or part-time. The rising interest in personal training and aerobics instruction has created good opportunities for fitness trainers and aerobics instructors. Recreation and fitness jobs are expected to increase due to more businesses recognizing the benefits of recreation and fitness programs.
