Paralegal
Career
Paralegals, also called legal assistants, provide invaluable help to lawyers in their work. They perform some of the same tasks and also do legal research and write reports that lawyers use to help prepare their cases. Paralegals need good research and writing skills and should be able to use computers and work well with the public. Paralegals often start out handling routine assignments and as they gain experience they usually assume more varied tasks with additional responsibility.
