Transferring to other colleges
Transferring IN to MCC from another college or university
Transcripts of record are given full value if coming from colleges or universities accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools or similar regional associations and from accredited community colleges.
Each applicant must submit an official transcript bearing the original seal and signature of the official in charge of records from each college or university previously attended. MCC does not accept transcripts directly from the student. Students will also be required to complete the procedure for admission to Ellsworth.
Acceptance of Career Credits
MCC will accept credit earned in their own career programs and apply such credit to the MCC Associate in Arts degree on the following basis:
* Credit earned in a career program may be used to fulfill elective credit up to 16 semester hours.
* Career credit may not be used to fulfill core requirements for the AA degree without a waiver from the division involved and the Chief Academic Officer.
Acceptance of Transfer Credits
Credit from other accredited colleges will be evaluated in terms of MCC's degree requirements. Transfer credits are accepted only for classes in which the student earned a grade of C- or better; for those classes with C- or higher, the credit transfers, but the GPA does not. Pass/fail credits are not accepted for transfer.
