Tigers post non-conference win
MARSHALLTOWN, IA - The MCC Men's Basketball team (19-7, 2-4) went 6 for 10 from the three point arc in the first half, to take a 44-21 lead into halftime against visiting Central College JV. MCC would run away with the game, scoring an 82-50 non-conference victory.
Central struggled from behind the arc missing all 11 of their attempts in the first half. The Tigers shot 64 percent from the field, to just 23 percent by the Dutch in the half. The Tigers continued their hot shooting, hitting 52 percent in the second half, to just 35 percent by Central.
The Tigers were once again led offensively by the sophomore duo of Chris Caird (England) and Matej Delinac (Toronto, Canada). Caird scored 14 points while Delinac put up 13. Sophomore Cameron Robinson (Oxford, GA) led the Tigers on the glass with 6 boards.
The Tigers will be on the road to New Providence, taking on Quakerdale Promise Academy on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
