2013 graduation information
MCC's graduation ceremony is Friday, May 10, at 7 pm
Graduation regalia is available to purchase for $25/set (includes cap, tassel and gown) April 8-May 10 at the MCC Bookstore. The MCC graduation ceremony holds the tradition of honor which requires that all participating graduates wear the traditional graduation regalia. It is required that all attending graduates purchase a cap, tassel and gown thru the MCC Bookstore. Store hours the week of graduation are 8 am to 6 pm on Monday thru Thursday and 8 am to 7 pm on Friday. Unless exchange is needed, all sales on graduation regalia are final. Graduation Invitations (available April 8)
Invitations to the graduation ceremony are available to purchase for 25¢ each at the MCC Bookstore (includes invitation and envelope).
Students with a career total grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher on April 1 who attend the graduation ceremony will be given an honor cord when checking in prior to the ceremony.
May 10 Graduation Evening
Graduates report to the Student Union BEFORE 6:30 pm for check in. Late arrivals to the ceremony are not allowed entrance.
Final instructions will be given at this time. The graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 7 pm in the Student Activity Center. Graduates will not be seated in alphabetical order. Graduates may wear a corsage or a boutonniere if desired. Women should bring hair pins to secure the cap.
Seating in the Student Activity Center is on a "first-come" basis. Doors will open at 6 pm. All guests must be seated by 6:50 pm. Doors will be closed at that time and no one will be permitted to enter the Student Activity Center. Overflow or late arrivals will be escorted to the Babe Harder Gymnasium where the ceremony will be telecast.
Reception in Student Union
A reception outside of the Student Activity Center (weather permitting) will be held immediately following the graduation ceremony. Please ask all family members and guests to celebrate with you there. Rain location is Babe Harder Gymnasium.
