Dear Potential Student,
The Nursing programs at Iowa Valley Community College District (Ellsworth Community College and Marshalltown Community College) have a long history of full accreditation by the Iowa Board of Nursing and are recognized for their excellence in nursing education and the quality of our faculty. Our licensing exam passage rates are among the highest in the state of Iowa, and our graduates are highly respected and serve in many capacities.
We offer Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing programs at both of our campuses – the Ellsworth Community College campus is located in Iowa Falls, and the Marshalltown campus is in Marshalltown.
Our nursing faculty are a compassionate, educated and talented group of individuals who are committed to developing and strengthening your professional nursing knowledge and skills. They constantly evaluate and update the curriculum to provide students with the most current information.
Our nursing courses provide an in-depth study of the theory and nursing care of children, adults, and families. Clinical experiences include a variety of health care settings where students provide nursing care to medical, surgical, maternity, pediatric, and mental health patients. Student learning experiences progress from simple to complex and use critical thinking skills to apply the nursing process to the care of patients.
