The student who successfully completes this course will understand:

  •  The basics of corporate systems analysis

  • The importance of planning.

  • What constitutes “good” software.

  • The computer system life-cycle.

  • How to write a system proposal.

  • How to plan and manage a computer project.

  • Techniques for gathering information and requirements.

  • How to design a system.

  • How to write program specifications.  

  • How to set up a system test and a program test.

  •  The steps involved in delivering and installing a computer project.

  • How to maintain a computer system.

  • How to evaluate software and computer processes.
